About AMIF

Initiated with the acquisition of one of the first laser scanning confocal microscopes in the country, this state of the art facility caters for multiple biological imaging modalities and houses confocal and multi-photon microscopes, fluorescence correlation spectroscope, atomic force microscope, scanning and transmission electron microscopes, live cell imaging system, TIRF microscope and a variety of upright and inverted fluorescence microscopes with deconvolution software, high-speed and 3-D stereo imaging capabilities.

Although rare in comparison to infectious diseases, genetic disorders cause enormous misery as many of them do not have a permanent cure.
